Seth Joyner
Seth Joyner enjoyed 13 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL, playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and was named NFL Player of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 1991. He closed out his stellar career as a member of the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos in 1999, walking away from the game he loved as a champion; as the Broncos defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-19 at Super Bowl XXXIII in his very last game.
Seth Joyner was born November 18, 1964 . He played his college ball at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP). He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 8th round of the 1986 NFL Draft.. He was cut in training camp, but the Eagles resigned him later in the season. At various times during his career, Joyner played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Denver Broncos.
His unique combination of strength and quickness allowed him to excel in all defensive statistical categories and propelled him to three Pro Bowl appearances. While still with the Eagles, Seth was named NFL Player of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 1991, and that same year, received runner-up honors for Associate Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year. As a member of the Denver Broncos, he helped win Super Bowl XXIII, which turned out to be his final game as a pro. Byars is one of only nine members of the 20/20 Club for interceptions and sacks.
Seth currently resides in Arizona with his wife Wanda, and two children. He is an avid golfer and currently works as an NFL analyst for a variety of media networks both on television and radio, including ESPN's Rome is Burning television show.
